Issue 17 - Friday 17 January 2025

Dear Families

Please be aware that we are experiencing several cases of upset tummies and diarrhoea. We have spoken to Public Health England and have increased the number of cleaners on site, increased the cleaning of high frequency areas e.g. door handles etc, have provided all classrooms and shared spaces with clinical disinfectant wipes and are encouraging all pupils to wash their hands several times throughout the day, particularly after the toilet, before eating and after breaks.

January Blues

In our assembly this week we talked about why some people feel 'down' in January. We looked at a range of strategies to avoid these feelings and looked at the Buddhist understanding of Dukkah. This is when humans suffer because they are craving something different or more. The main takeaway was 'True contentment is not having everything, but being satisfied with everything you have' - Oscar Wilde.

Kind regards

Mrs J Rigby
Headteacher
