Weekly Bulletin - Issue 34 - Friday 10 June 2022

Issue 34 - Friday 10 June 2022

Dear Families

I hope you enjoyed the half-term, bank holidays and Jubilee celebrations.

Assembly

This week's assembly reflected back on the Queen's Jubilee and the concept of 'service'.

Coming up this term are assemblies about:
  • Healthy eating
  • World Refugee Day
  • Pride Month
  • The NHS (launch anniversary)
  • Independent Travel Training
  • Celebration of Achievement
School rules

We have just undertaken a review of our school rules with staff and pupils. After editing down the vast number of suggestions, we feel that these five simple rules capture all that is needed:
  1. Be kind, tolerant and respectful

  2. Keep yourself and others safe

  3. Listen and follow instructions

  4. Be in the right place at the right time, ready to learn

  5. Follow the school dress code

These rules, along with our Vision and Aims, will have pupil friendly versions made to support access for all.

School dress code / uniform

This is a gentle reminder that pupils will require an 'official' school PE uniform from September when we will be back to changing for PE during the school day.

Annual review day

This is a reminder that we have an annual review day for our final cohort on Wednesday 15th June.  Pupils do not attend school on this day, unless they are attending the review with their family.

Best wishes to you all.

Kind regards,

Mrs J Rigby
Headteacher

Hillngdon Parent / Carer Forum

Dear parents/carers,

SAVE THE DATE! We have resumed our larger-scale engagement events post COVID-19, and we are delighted to be able to invite you to join us once again. Many of you visited us in September 2019, and gave us glowing feedback, so please continue to support the Hillingdon PCF by reserving the date in your diaries, it's FREE for SEND children/young people plus their families.

Events like these provide an opportunity for families to meet each other, browse the information stalls and talk to professionals, and we make sure that it's an enjoyable day for the children too. This time we have been kindly given the use of the facilities at a new building, so come and join us:

The Pride Academy, 71 Falling Lane, Yiewsley, UB7 8AB

Sat 9th July 11am - 3pm

We'll be in touch again with further information and to let you know the activities that we are booking, for what will be a great day! In the meantime please save the date so that you don't miss out.

Best wishes, Hillingdon PCF On behalf of the Steering Committee
