Update on Northwood Road Build - July 2026

3^rd July 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to update you on the opening of our new Northwood Road Campus. Although the building programme is progressing well, it is currently running approximately one week behind schedule.

We are sincerely sorry for this delay, but please be assured that we are all working tirelessly to ensure that the building is completed to the highest possible standard as soon as possible.

Because of this delay:

• Staff will move into the building on Monday 7^th September and prepare the classrooms and other specialist areas ready to welcome students the following week.

Arrangements for students week beginning 7^th September:

• Post 16 students will complete their Duke of Edinburgh Silver expedition on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Thursday they can work through the student workbook.  On Friday they are welcome to attend the ‘Great Northwood Bake Off.’
• All students in Years 7 - 14 will be provided with a workbook to complete at home.
• This will be linked to a themed activity called the ‘Great Northwood Road Bake Off’
• On Friday 11^th September all parents and students are invited to attend our Great Northwood Road Bake Off.  This will be held on the common in the centre of Harefield. The event will run from 11am – 1.30pm.  Parents and students are welcome to attend at any time during this period. Lunch will be served from midday and all students should bring their Bake Off entries with them.
• Students will also receive a class bulletin outlining learning plans for the following fortnight

Arrangements for students week beginning 14^th September

Students will now start on Tuesday 15^th September rather than the original planned date. Students who are joining Meadow for the first time will attend the new Northwood Road site on Monday 14^th September 2026.

We appreciate this change may be frustrating and we are sorry for any inconvenience it may cause.

Update on Northwood Road Build - June 2026

On a recent visit to the Northwood Road site, we were pleased to tour both the external and internal areas of the school. Work is still progressing well, and the site was very busy, with lots of work being completed.  We are pleased to see the interior taking shape, with rooms starting to be identifiable as classrooms, communal spaces and offices.

Update on Northwood Road Build - 26 March 2026

On Friday 20^th March Northwood Road moved into the next stage of its development, with its official topping out ceremony taking place on the roof of the new site. Miss Willis and Raf the premises manager was joined by members of the construction team, some Local counsellors And some leaders from Hillingdon SEND Team to celebrate the structure is now fully complete and bricklaying has commenced. 

At the moment this is indicating that the project is still running to the expected timeline of a handover in August 2026 for us to occupy with students in September 2026. 

Thank you to all the parents you have been meeting us to discuss their child’s placement from September 26 and welcome to our new parents who would’ve recently found out that there child will be joining us. Please keep your eyes peeled on this page for periodic updates.
