Residential Trip to Devon

Last week, 32 pupils and staff attended a residential trip to The Calvert Trust in Exmoor. During the week, pupils participated in many different activities, which included canoeing, abseiling, horse riding, archery, crate stacking and biking! These activities provided pupils with the chance to face and conquer different fears and all pupils made their own personal achievements on the trip.

Other schools and families who were attending their own trip on the site commented on how amazing the pupils were, quoting 'Your school should be extremely proud of the attitude, manners and behaviour of all students, and they are a credit to your school!' Which is amazing praise and all pupils should be extremely proud of themselves.

Diego, who attended the trip, wrote some words about his experience of the Devon trip.

'Devon is such a nice place to go for a few days away. The Calvert Trust is a place to stay and enjoy. You can have fun mixing with other people from school, enjoy late night activities and the food is fantastic. During the day there are so many great activities for you to enjoy. Some you will find interesting and some a bit scary as they involve heights. The staff are amazing and supportive. So every March come and join the fun and get away for a few days!

My favourite thing about Devon is all the activities but crate stacking is my ultimate place because I enjoyed beating the record and they call me the crate stacking king!!'

Information and letters will soon be coming out for the Devon 2025 trip!
