URGENT - ALL PARENTS PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT UPDATE ON BUILDING MOVE AND ADDITIONAL SCHOOL CLOSURE DATES

Dear Families

We have moved into the new building and staff are busy unpacking.

However, I have been told that due to the Building Control Certificate not yet being issued, the DfE will not accept the building and therefore pupils are not allowed in.

What this means for pupils and their families:
  1. We have gone ahead with moving and setting up the new building. If we didn't do this, we would use the days this week to reset up the old school and then would need an additional 4 day closure to repack and move to the new building later in November.

  2. We are able to offer very limited places in school for pupils on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Monday 22nd as we have limited usable classrooms and there are parts of the site that unsafe due to building completion work.

  3. You will receive a phone call from the team regarding places in school sometime today or tomorrow. This is only for families who have no child care or other exceptional circumstances.

  4. Those who do not attend on the 18th, 19th and 20th will have work packs delivered home to them.

  5. Children registered for Free School Meals who aren't on site will have a voucher emailed to the family.

  6. All pupils should be onsite and we will be occupying the new block from Tuesday 23rd.
I hope you can see that whilst far from ideal, this plan loses less time for pupils than the alternative.

Thank you so much in anticipation of your understanding and tolerance.

Best wishes,

Jenny Rigby
Head Teacher
