Update On Return to School Arrangements from Mrs Rigby
Dear Families
I know that this is a worrying and confusing time for us all.
At present the Government Guidance is as follows:
- Where the contingency framework is implemented, pupils at special schools who are of secondary school age should continue to attend their education setting full-time. Whilst attendance is encouraged, it will not be mandatory and parents will not be penalised if their child does not attend.
If you do not intend for your child to attend school on Monday 4th January we would be grateful if you could phone and leave a message on the schools absence line (01895 443310) stating your child's name and form group and the reason they are not attending eg unwell / leave of absence due to Covid concerns.
If your child will attend school please ensure they have a suitable face covering with them.
As we are currently unsure of staffing levels and also want to ensure that we are providing the safest provision possible, we intend to return to our tutor based bubbles from Monday 4th January. This will minimise contacts about the school and will allow staff to provide both on site and off site education for pupils.
Thank you for your continuing support and understanding.
