Humanities -Themed Week Coming Soon - Cultures/Festivals Around The World

The Humanities Faculty are planning another fantastic themed week on Monday 13th November - Friday 17th November.   Miss Bhopal, Faculty Head of Humanities, says:

To support building a positive school community that recognises the importance of ‘achieving together’ the Humanities Faculty are running a week of fun and activities to celebrate the theme of Cultures /Festivals around the World on Monday 13th November - Friday 17th November.

There will be lots of activities running throughout the week,
including trips out to religious places of worship, themed lunches, an evening where we invite parents to bring food from around he world and eat with us, lunchtime talks by staff (and parents) about their own cultures and festivals, classes will be doing research projects on a chosen culture/festival, as well as a non uniform day on the Friday where students will be encouraged to come to school dressed
in a national dress of any festival/culture.

Friday 17th November is of course Children In Need Day which will be incorporated into our theme. We would like it if parents could also be involved and make this a successful event, be it coming in at lunchtime to do a talk or join us for the evening and enjoy food from around the world. More details will follow.  If you would like to be involved please contact
