    • Monday 27 April - Friday 8 May - Scholastic Book Fayre

      Published 16/04/26

As part of our celebrations for the National Year of Reading 2026, we are very excited to announce that from Monday 27th April to Friday 8th May we will be running a Scholastic Book Fair in our Library!

The Scholastic Book Fair is a pop-up celebration of reading that puts the very best books directly into your child’s hands, all while raising rewards to spend on free books and essential resources for our school. For every sale made, Meadow High School will receive FREE rewards that we can use for even more resources for our students.

To provide an opportunity for you to visit the Book Fair with your child, we will be hosting two parent coffee afternoons on

      Tuesday 28th April  1.40pm - 2.40pm

      Thursday 30th April 1.40pm - 2.40pm

You will be able to meet with other parents and also choose from the fantastic books on offer. We have made sure that there will be a wider selection of picture books this time. As previously, payment can be made via card, using a QR code we will provide at the fair.

If you would like to join us for one of the sessions, please complete the slip in the letter sent home and return as soon as possible. If you would like to collect your child at the end of the session please ensure you tick the relevant box.  Please note that there is no on-site parking - if there is a particular need, please contact your child’s form tutor.

If you have any questions, please contact our Librarian, Miss S Gaafar, on sgaafar@meadowhighschool.org.

      Kind Regards,

    • Fantastic Football Tournament

      Published 16/04/26

      Fantastic Football Tournament

I would like to take a moment to recognise the students who took part in the football fixture during the last week of last term.  They demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout, showing resilience, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of fair play. They followed the rules of the game consistently, handled incidents maturely, and ensured the experience was fair and enjoyable for all.

In addition, their commitment to learning and developing their skills was outstanding. The effort they put into the tournament was clear, and they showed great determination when facing challenges and adversity.

As a group, these students embodied the values we promote at Meadow, particularly within PE and team games: fair play, respect, kindness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It was fantastic to see these values reflected so clearly in their performance and conduct.

I would like to highlight a few individual contributions:

      • Dylan demonstrated excellent leadership as captain.
      • Charlie showed great resilience and was nominated Player of the Match by the team.
      • Elissa displayed strong defensive skills, consistently stopping attacks and creating scoring opportunities.
      • Colby and Harrison worked exceptionally well together, showing teamwork and resolving challenges effectively during gameplay.
      • Ty showed excellent motivation, even when facing setbacks.
      • Kaniz demonstrated strong communication and encouragement throughout the game.

It was an excellent fixture and a great way to round off the term !

      Well done everyone !

    • Class GW Trip

      Published 26/03/26

On Tuesday 24th March, class GW visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, popularly known as the ‘Neasden Temple.

We were given a tour when we arrived and commented on the beautiful craftsmanship of the buildings.

Afterwards, we all went to the shop next door to buy some Indian vegetarian snacks and devoured them.

The children loved every minute of the trip and wanted to go back again another time.

They were exemplary and a credit to Meadow High School.
