Mr Cunningham's Latest Video Update
On Sunday 4th October Mr Cunningham, along with his wife, walked 13.1 miles around London to raise money for The Kings Trust. This year this charity is focussing on raising money to reduce youth unemployment. There are currently over 1 million 16 - 24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training and the majority of these young people have either been permanently excluded from school or they have an underlying special educational need. Mr Cunningham completed the walk in just under 4 hours and with his wife raised a combined total of £1155.

On Monday 28th September, our much anticipated Northwood Road campus opened for students.
We have all been enjoying exploring our new building, but especially the wonderful playground and outside spaces. There have been smiles all around, and we will update over the next few weeks with more photos of our wonderful site, as we settle in.
We are proud of how well all the students (and staff!) have coped with moving into the new campus and look forward to many, many years of successful learning ahead.
We are still waiting for the outside works, such as the staff car park, to be completed but will look forward to welcoming you all to see the site soon.
Miss A Willis - Deputy Headteacher, Northwood Road Campus

We are officially open!!! After a lengthy journey this week, we finally welcomed students onto our new Northwood Road Campus. It was great to welcome all the students back and to see the joy on their faces as they caught up with their friends and teachers in their new surroundings. A lot of this week has been about familiarisation and using the environment itself as a tool to support learning as we all find our feet. The constructors will remain on site for three further weeks, completing snagging and finishing the works in some of the internal and external spaces. I would like to thank all parents for their patience as we moved towards this point. It has not always been simple and straight forward but nothing worth doing is. The reaction of our school community this week has shown it has been worth the wait.

We hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning at our Royal Lane site and are delighted to share that we raised a fantastic £150.30!
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, bought a treat, and supported the event. We really appreciate everyone who helped make the morning such a success!

We were delighted to welcome the London Children’s Ballet back to Royal Lane on Friday 25th September during our whole-school enrichment time.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with the choice of watching it live in the hall or via a live stream from their classrooms. This year’s performance told the much-loved story of Anne of Green Gables, bringing the story to life through narrative dance, expressive movement, props, ballet and colourful costume changes.
Our students were particularly engaged during the interactive section and enjoyed the opportunity to say hello to the dancers and congratulate them during the meet-and-greet session.
The visit supported our curriculum by deepening students’ understanding of artistic expression, rhythm and movement, while providing them with an exciting opportunity to experience live performance.
We were incredibly proud of how respectful, curious and enthusiastic our students were throughout the event.
A big thank you to the London Children’s Ballet for another wonderful performance, and to our parents and families for your continued support.

All parents/carers of pupils attending Northwood Road,
We hope you have all had a lovely summer and are as excited as we all are for our move to the new site at Northwood Road in Harefield. For the week commencing the 7th of September all pupils will be participating in The Great Meadow Bake Off. Please use and print out the booklet attached below for instructions, activities, recipes, and certificate. This booklet and activities will support the pupils with their learning, expanding their skills in reading comprehension, kitchen safety, and fine/gross motor.
If you cannot print the booklet at home there are hard copies available in reception at the Royal Lane campus for you to pick up. Please take the time to go through the booklet with your child during the week of the 7th of September. There will be additional work packs provided by the class teacher for the week 14th September - keep an eye out for these in the coming days.
There will also be an event held Friday the 11th of September on the Common in the centre of Harefield. This event will begin promptly at 11am. You are welcome to attend with your child/young person and bring your cake to be tasted and shared.
Thank you for your support and hard work. We look forward to seeing you on Friday 11th September!
From the Northwood Road team.
