WizeUp Sessions Empower Year 12/13 Students

This term, some of our Year 12 and 13 students took part in the WizeUp Programme, a series of engaging sessions aimed at equipping them with essential life skills for the future. The students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, which covered a wide range of practical topics that will help them navigate the challenges of independence as they prepare for ‘Life Beyond Meadow’.

The WizeUp sessions covered a broad range of essential life skills, including effective communication and developing a growth mindset, budgeting and managing finances, understanding credit ratings and debt, the realities of minimum wage and tax, and the basics of employment rights. Students also gained practical insights into independent living, flat sharing, and managing living costs, as well as the differences between debit and credit cards. These sessions introduced our Year 12 and 13 students to the tools they need to confidently navigate the challenges of adulthood.

A big thank you to Laura from the WizeUp team for making these sessions so engaging and impactful!
