Year 11 World Experience
Visit to Greencore Food to Go, Stockley
Some of the Year 11 students visited a food factory in Stockely as part of the World of Work and Work experience. During the visit, students attended a small presentation which focused on the company background, layout of the factory, some success stories of their staff, various job roles within the company, food hygiene and PPE. All students followed the company’s rules and regulations before entering the production floor. All the students walked through different food chillers to understand how ingredients are stored, cut, sanitised, mixed and prepared for the meals. After the tour, all students gained experience of working on the production line to pack protein pot – Spinach and Egg. This was a wonderful experience for our students and they absolutely loved it. All the students enjoyed the snack pot and the token gifts “bag and a pen” from the Greencore Company.
Many thanks to MHS staff for supporting this trip and special thanks to the team at “Greencore Food to go” for welcoming our students and staff.
