Issue 36 - Friday 27 June 2025

Dear Families,

With the warmer weather, we are seeing more pupils becoming dysregulated which in some instances, is leading to conflict with other pupils.  We are also aware that many pupils have families in worn-torn parts of the world and this can be a point of high anxiety.  As part of our work to teach and support pupils how to manage their feelings and emotions, we looked at resolving conflict in this week's assembly.

Two of our Year 7 pupils volunteered to act out the story of 'The Two Mules'. Huge thanks to Basith and Ethan for being brave and acting out with enthusiasm.

The key message from the assembly was 'others don't have to lose so you can win'. We talked about lose-lose situations, win-win situations and how to compromise.

We look forward to seeing many of you next week during our Sports Week. Don't forget your purse as there will be refreshing drinks on sale (card reader also available!).

Best wishes for the weekend.

Mrs J Rigby
Headteacher

Next Week is Sports Week
