Issue 16 - Friday 10 January 2025

Dear Families

Happy New Year! I know the Christmas break seems a long time ago already, but I hope you are all still feeling well-rested.

We welcomed in the School Improvement Team on Tuesday.  Jason and Caroline are supporting us on our development journey, which this week centred around the types of conversations Ofsted might have with leaders and our safeguarding and attendance arrangements.  Regarding attendance, thank you to everyone who is supporting their child to arrive on time and attend regularly.  At the moment, our overall attendance has improved by almost 4% from this time last year. Please keep up the good work!

Speaking of Ofsted, if you would like to give your views on the school, don't forget you can use the following link: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Best wishes for a safe and warm weekend.

Kind regards

Mrs J Rigby
Headteacher

Sixth Form Work Experience Visit
to Brentford Football Club

Some of the Sixth form students visited Brentford Football Community hub on 11 December as part of their work experience.

During the visit, students had a wonderful opportunity to tour the site including offices, meet with various professionals at their desks and practise a mock interview. Students had a great chance to speak to community hub staff in different departments about their job roles, daily tasks and career journey. Massive thanks to Antonio and the staff at Brentford FC for providing this excellent work experience to our students as well as the staff at MHS who supported this trip.
