Issue 2 - Friday 13 September 2024

Dear Families

Timetable

Pupils have successfully started their timetables this week after their initial settling in period. We find that being class based at the start of the academic year really helps pupils settle back into the school routine.

Air Ambulance

You should have received a text on Monday making you aware that the air ambulance had to land on our field. Credit to our pupils for handling this exceptionally well and huge thanks to our staff team who ensured pupils were physically safe and not dysregulated by our visitors. Please be assured, that if we ever had a medical emergency that involved your family member, the school would contact you immediately. No news is good news and phoning the school is not necessary.

Assembly

At our first whole school assembly on Tuesday, we talked about change. This included our new cafe, replacement block and Northwood Road. Miss Barratt also talked about positive behaviour and the support both adults and other pupils can offer each other.

Pathway 1 - Northwood Road

Regarding Northwood Road, we will be holding three face-to-face information sessions at our Meet the Tutor evening on Thursday 3rd October. These will be at 4.15pm, 5.15pm and 6.15pm. If your child is in Pathway 1, please make every effort to attend a session so that you have the most up-to-date information. There is no need to book a space, simply turn up!

Allotment

In preparation for our move to Northwood Road, Miss Willis and the team have taken over a half allotment plot in Harefield. If you would like to volunteer to support us in setting up and maintaining this fantastic resource, please look out for notices in our bulletin and on the website.

If you have any gardening tools you no longer need, but they are in a good state of repair, we would be delighted to accept them.

Look out for photos of the plot on Instagram!

Very best wishes for a good weekend.

Kind regards

Mrs J Rigby
Headteacher
