One World Week 2016

The Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of English jointly ran "One World Week" in 2016.  A week of events, themed lessons, activities, trips, lunchtime talks, visitors and assemblies all around the theme of exploring the vibrant wealth and richness of the different countries, cultures and traditions in the World.   We looked on a globe to see where different countries are in the world.  We were lucky enough to have various staff and parents come to talk to us about their country of origin.  We were able to try foods from different cuisines and see artifacts from different parts of the world.  On dress up day pupils wore national costumes.  We learned different dances from around the world and performed them in assembly.
