Congratulations to all staff at Meadow for gaining the
'Best Practice for Teaching Assistants Award!'
Back in the Summer term I sent out information about an exciting new project we were starting, aimed at supporting our Teaching Assistants to share good practice and develop their skills in order to support both the teachers and the students.
I am happy to say that, this week, after a full day’s assessment from an external assessor, Meadow have been awarded the BPTAA!
The assessor absolutely loved the school and made several remarks regarding the warm welcome she received, how calm and happy everyone seemed and how much of a community feel she got.
Congratulations to all the staff who have been involved in making this
possible. This is by no means an end result and we look forward to supporting the continuing development of all Teaching Assistant's at Meadow.
If you have any questions related to this, or would like to know a little more about the positive impact this has had and will continue to have on your children, please contact myself on the below email address.

A-life came into school on Tuesday 30th April to run their much loved Healthy Living sessions for our Year 7 pupils. The morning session before break involved the pupils working at different learning stations to teach them about ways to have a healthy
lifestyle. After break Year 7 and some of Year 8 took part in circuit activity to show what an active lifestyle is. In the afternoon Year 9 took part in Alcohol and Drug Awareness workshop and learnt all about the dangers of these. We look forward to having
A-life back again next year!

We’re raising £1,500 for Meadow High School’s charity ‘Friends of Meadow’
A chance conversation and idea has developed into a school wide attempt of Tough Mudder ……...
This Sunday, 5th May, 37 members of staff from Meadow High school will attempt to finish the 5K Tough Mudder and the Full Tough Mudder (10 miles).
We originally wanted to raise £1,000, however, we have now surpassed that and would like to raise £1,500 (at least) for the school charity ‘Friends of Meadow’.
Friends of Meadow are a group of parents and friends of the school who give up their own time to raise funds for the school. The work they do to support the children is truly amazing. Residential trips, prom nights, disco nights and many other events would not be possible if it was not for Friends of Meadow.
Any donation is absolutely welcome and we will make sure pictures are available to view !
Thank you all very much,
Meadow Tough Mudder Team
