A meeting has been set up for parents of those pupils who are moving to Northwood Road Campus in September with Hillingdon Schools Transport.  This is to raise any concerns around school transport.   PW1 parents moving to Northwood Road in September only.   See letter home below:

 

Letter to selected pupils - transport meeting

26th March 2026 

Dear Parent/Carers,  

Thank you to all of you who have met either myself, Miss Bonner or Mrs O’Neill in the past two weeks to discuss your child moving to the Northwood Road campus in September 2026. I believe there are three meetings outstanding, so apologies if this letter is premature in your case, but thank you in advance. 

One of the biggest concerns raised by parents in relation to the move was concerns around transport. As a result, Mr. Cunningham and I have met the transport team to share the concerns.

Hillingdon Transport Service have agreed to come into school on 23rd April at 9.15am to do a question-and-answer parent coffee morning with parents whose young person is moving to the new site and is an existing student. This is a chance for you to speak face-to-face with the team and express any concerns you have. On this date, we will also have staff available to support you with applying for transport if you’re unsure how to do this or require assistance. 

I have put a reply slip on this letter just so that we can prepare accordingly for the appropriate number of parents, but all are welcome. If you are not a Hillingdon resident, this session may not be appropriate for you as it will be talking specifically about Hillingdon's transport services. 

When we met, the transport team confirmed that pupils who are already accessing Home to school transport via Hillingdon do not need to reapply. We have given the names of the young people who will be at the Northwood Road site directly to the transport team and they will reroute them without parents needing to do any further actions. Towards the end of the summer term, they will advise you of their new route number, pick up point and the relevant timings. 

For parents who have not previously used Hillingdon Home to school transport and have now become eligible or may wish to use the service for the first time, they have requested that you complete an application as soon as possible to assist them with planning the new routes. This can be done prior to the parent session, on the day or by the deadline they will share during the coffee morning. 

If you are a family who does not reside in the London borough of Hillingdon and use Home to school transport services, we have reached out to all the relevant teams. 

Ealing: have acknowledged the change of site for the two young people affected. They have requested that the parents reapply and let them know that from September 2026 the correct address for transport will be ‘Meadow High, Norwood Road campus, Northwood Road, Harefield, UB9 6ET’ and they will plan accordingly. These families do need to reapply. 

Slough: presently we have been unable to get in contact with Slough transport services. We believe this also affects two young people. I would encourage parents to please contact Slough transport and advise them of the change of campus, address above and in case of any difficulties please email me on awillis@meadowhighschool.org. I will continue to try and liaise with them as well. 

Harrow: presently this only affects one student who comes in an individual Taxi. I have advised them of the change of address but encouraged the family to also do so.
