Winter Concert 2016

The start of December 2016 brought a fresh breeze to Uxbridge but not our school Winter Concert, where Meadow School pupils once again lit up the stage!

Outside it may have felt freezing, but inside our packed hall was rocking as pupils from Key Stage 3 tutor groups belted our seasonal numbers and danced their hearts out.

They were joined by fantastic performances from Shinning Stars Dance and Choir Club, Year 10 Dance and Drama option groups and 6th Form Dance Group.

Many of the students who performed chose their own songs and wrote their own scripts or choreography.  This was particularly notable in the older pupils' performances.

Here are some quotes from the four shows:

" We are so happy, it's the first time he has ever stayed on stage ever!!!" said Jayce's elated parents.

"What a fabulous performance" exclaimed Miriam's mum.

"The Pupils were really confident and enthusiastic. They really seemed to enjoy being on stage, so brave" exclaimed Danyal's parents

"Even the shiest pupils seemed to enjoy it, it's wonderful to see the pupils confidence grow, I also really liked the stage design"  gleamed Gill Duncan, Clerk to the school Governors.

This year's show lead by Mr. Ho was an outstanding success, and set a great president for what we all hope will be many more to come. Thank you to all staff and parents involved, the support was overwhelming.

We were also overjoyed to raise £205 from Miss Shukla's winter cupcake sales and the pupils' Christmas card designs which will go to equipment for future performances.
