THIS BULLETIN IS GOING PAPERLESS AFTER THE EASTER HOLIDAY.
THE WEEKLY BULLETIN WILL BE ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE EACH FRIDAY
AFTERNOON ON THE News/Weekly Bulletin PAGE. We will NOT be sending home paper copies each week. We plan to use School Texts to send out a link to the Weekly Bulletin page to make it easy and quick to access. There is also a Quick Link from the Homepage of the website to the Weekly Bulletin page. The School website is www.meadowhighschool.org
If you do not have access to a computer, phone or tablet and need a paper copy sent home each week, please call School Reception on 01895 443310.
Dear Parents
This year the Maths and Science Faculties have teamed up to put together an exciting week of activities. Maths & Science Week will take place next week—
12th - 16th March. The theme will be:
Exploring and Investigating
This year, we have an indoor planetarium visiting us and lower school pupils will be invited to watch shows inside a dome. KS4 and 5 students will be going on trips to the Museum. All students will be given an activity pack and we will also be holding
a form rocket competition.
Mrs Ghalib (Faculty Head of Maths) & Mrs Terry (Head of Science)
SEVERE WEATHER
I hope you all received last weeks text updates regarding the school being open or closed. If you didn't, that means we do not have your current mobile phone number.
Please call the school office urgently to ensure we have this.
Some independent travellers had not received the message that the school was closed last Friday. To prevent this happening in the future, and in case of other emergency situations, we will be sending home a permission slip asking parents / carers to agree that we can gather this information to use on the rare occasion we need to contact this group of pupils.
Mrs Rigby—Headteacher
Hillingdon Parent Carer Forum are a group who aim to be a voice for parents of children with disabilities aged 0-25 in Hillingdon.
They are holding an Engagement Evening on 14 March 2018—6.45pm—10pm at Brunel University. They would like to meet with parents, discuss any views and difficulties you may have experienced, and plan what they should be focussing on during the next year.
For more information on this, useful local information and other courses they run, please visit their website www.hillingdonpcf.com.
Due to the bad weather at the end of last week, some of the World Book Day Week of Teamwork Activities had to be postponed to this week. We hope to be able to bring you all the news and photos in next week’s Bulletin and on the school website.
