Celebration of Achievement Evening

If your son or daughter is in Year 11 or the Sixth Form, they may have been invited to Celebration of Achievement Evening.   (Please note, if they are invited they will have received an individually addressed invitation letter and reply slip).

This is a prestigious Annual Event where our senior pupils, past and present, receive their exams certificates and accreditation and we celebrate all their fantastic achievements.

The event is always very well attended.  We are fortunate to have the Mayor of Hillingdon attending, as well as a number of VIP guests, Governors and staff.  Following the main event, the Sixth Form Dance Group will be on hand with an entertainment number.   There will also be refreshments and a raffle.

Pupils have achieved a wide range of exams accreditation this year.  For example, ASDAN Towards Independence, AQA Unit Awards, Entry Level Certificates, Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Maths and English, GCSEs, City & Guilds, Level 1 Dance Leadership and more.    Many pupils will also receive certificates for attending successful work experience
placements.  All in all a huge amount of achievement to celebrate !

Please return reply slips if you would like to attend. Each pupil can bring a maximum of two guests, as we are limited on space and seating.

Culture & Festivals Week

Next week’s Bulletin will be a Special Edition bringing you all the news, events and photos from this week’s themed week.

Shoebox Appeal for Grenada

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Shoebox Appeal for Grenada.  We have been delighted to see all the boxes and items donated.   We are aiming to collect 230 boxes so that each child has a box to open.  So far, we are falling short of this number.  If you prefer, you could purchase a few small items, and send them into school to be included in a shoebox.   All donations are very much appreciated.  The Sixth Form will be making up additional boxes next week.

Project Search Update

We are now in our second year of Project Search, an initiative to give supported
apprenticeship opportunities to pupils with learning difficulties.  We are currently working with The Marriott Hotel Heathrow.  To read more please visit the School Website /Our School/Sixth Form/Project Search.  Interns also receive onsite tuition and job coaching.  The aim is to secure real jobs for the interns.   Our first Cohort who started in September 2016, have been successfully employed as follows:

Well done to all the 2016 Interns !

Breakfast is Healthy !

It is a well known fact that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, giving us a healthy start to the day.   We understand that some students struggle to get up in the morning, and that some pupils have early starts.  We offer a Breakfast Club from 8.30am each morning, with a reasonably priced menu including toast, cereal, eggs and juice.   More details of the menu and prices are on the School Website.

End of Term Arrangements
The Lower School will be having their Christmas Lunch on  Monday 18/12.

On Tuesday 19/12, the Upper School will have their Christmas Lunch.

On Wednesday 20/12 we are, once again, running the popular BIG BREAKFAST (at a cost per pupil).  This is a
traditional English Style Breakfast (or veggie alternative) served just after Registration.   Letters will be coming home next week with more details.

School Website:

Don’t forget to visit the School Website regularly for School news, photos, updates, information, school calendar, copies of letters home, School Lunch Menu, term dates, Who’s Who and lots more.   The website is translatable into many Languages, and is accessible on your laptop, PC, phone or tablet.
