Shoebox Appeal - Still collecting !

Shoebox Appeal Reminder

We are still collecting for our Shoebox Appeal! If you have any small toys, stationary or gifts that you could donate for the appeal, it would be really appreciated. We are also collecting empty shoeboxes to fill. Many thanks for your support so far.

The shoeboxes will be sent to three special schools in Grenada, by next Christmas.  We want to collect enough shoeboxes for each pupil to receive one each.

Here is the graphic again to remind you what you can and cannot include in a shoebox.

Why are we collecting presents to go in shoeboxes ?

Meadow High School has a long history of supporting three special schools in Grenada.
Mr Macdonald, our previous Headteacher, visited Grenada on several occasions as a guest of the Charity "The Jason Roberts Foundation" and as an advisor to the Grenadian Government about how they can improve their special educational provision.

In 2013, we did a similar collection, and shipped out shoeboxes full of goodies to the children in the three special needs schools (see pictures below).  The children were absolutely delighted to receive their shoebox full of exicting gifts.

Here are some of the shoeboxes piled up in Log 7, waiting to be shipped to Grenada.
