Goodbye to Mrs Rigby - Message from The Governors

Message from the Governors
We are saying goodbye to Mrs. Rigby this term, but we are not just saying goodbye to our headteacher, we are saying goodbye to a loyal and long-standing teacher, a talented musician and an inspirational leader.
Mrs. Rigby’s legacy to the school is not the new school buildings and the development at Northwood Road. It is not Ofsted results either (but it helps). Nor is it the madcap (by name) musical productions. The real legacy is the tireless leadership and commitment to the school, giving our students opportunities to be the best they can, encouraging our staff to grow and build their careers, keeping everyone “safe” at Meadow and allowing voices to be heard.
Mrs. Rigby’s “Life beyond Meadow” is not going to be quiet. I understand she has already enquired about joining an orchestra, a choir, and becoming a school governor. Then there is her family, her new little grandson and there are still a few places in the world Mr. & Mrs. Rigby want to visit together outside of school holidays!
On behalf of the Governors, I would like to thank Mrs. Rigby for her hard work, for making a difference and doing it with determination and a sense of humour.Good luck, safe travels and enjoy your “Life beyond Meadow”.
Mr R Burton
Chair of Governors
